I telephoned for an appointment on Tuesday morning as I had been feeling unwell for several days and had pain in my upper head and face on the right side. A rash had developed in the morning. I discussed my sysmptoms with the very helpful reception staffI as I was concerned that i may have shingles. I was given an appointment in the afternoon at 4.20pm. The Doctor confirmed that I had shingles and printed off a fact sheet for me to read. He explained that as I may have shingles in my right eye he would request an emergency apointment at the William Harvey Hospital to have it checked out. I felt free to ask as many questions as I needed and was not rushed. He was very informative and helpful.

Got an appointment on the day. Got the results of my test by the time of the appointment. Doctor physically checked my belly which was reassuring as the problem may not have been what I suspected. Doctor looked at me not just at the computer screen. He suggested a further test to check kidney function which I was pleased about. The receptionist explained clearly what I had to do next with another test. The only slight worry is that I believe the doctor said ' take one pill 3 times a day' whereas the chemist said 'twice a day, 12 hours apart.' The leaflet in the pills confirmed the chemist's view.

I found the doctor very helpful, he was professional. treated me with dignity was thorough included me in his decisions and explained every thing clearly to me , which left me feeling greatly reassured. This is a super surgery everyone of the staff are welcoming and helpful, definitely recommend to others.
